Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 May 2026
Tend ("Tend", "the app", "we") is a private care-documentation app for parents and caregivers, developed by Creative Factory. We designed Tend so that your family's information stays with you. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your data.
1. Information stored on your device
When you use Tend, the information you enter is stored locally on your device only, including:
- Child profiles (name, optional nickname, optional birth date, notes, optional photo)
- Daily check-ins, behavior notes, incidents, body marks, and care/caregiver notes
- Photos you attach, stored inside the app's private storage on your device
- Reports you generate and your app settings and reminders
We do not collect, receive, transmit, or have access to any of this information.
2. No account and no tracking
- No account: Tend does not require you to sign up or sign in.
- No analytics or tracking: Tend contains no third-party analytics, advertising, social, or tracking SDKs, and does not use advertising identifiers.
- No ads.
- No cloud upload: the app does not sync your records to any cloud service or external server.
- No AI processing of your records.
3. Photos
If you attach a photo, Tend asks the operating system for access to your photo library only when you choose to add one. The photo is copied into the app's private storage on your device and is not uploaded anywhere. You can remove a photo at any time.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
Tend offers an optional premium subscription. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and Apple's in-app purchase system. We never see or store your payment details. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. To validate subscription status, the app communicates with Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) using a non-personal, app-generated identifier; this does not include your care records.
5. Exporting and sharing
You are always in control of your data. When you create a report or export, the file is generated on your device. If you then choose to share it (for example by email, printing, or saving to Files), that action — and where the file goes — is entirely your decision. Once you share a file outside Tend, this policy no longer governs it.
6. Children's information
Tend is intended for use by a parent or caregiver to keep their own records. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children. Because the information you record about a child can be sensitive, we keep it on your device and out of our reach by design.
7. Deleting your data
You can delete individual records or use "Delete all data" in Settings to permanently remove everything from your device. Deleting the app also removes its local data.
8. Data security
Your records are stored within the app's private container on your device and benefit from the operating system's protections. You can also enable device authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) within Tend for an extra layer of protection.
9. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
